MAKE A DONATION
Thank you for your interest in supporting Black Mothers In Power (BMIP).
We are a grassroots 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to eradicating racial health disparities among Black women and Black babies throughout the state of Delaware.
Although we’ve only been in existence for nearly 6 years, we have already accomplished so much - and with your support, we can do even more!

Postpartum support through lactation, mental health, and healing services.
Emergency relief & food assistance for Black families in need.
Community healing spaces like the Ma’at Garden and the upcoming Maternal Care Center.
All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
Why Give Monthly?

Why Major Gifts Matter
Black mothers face some of the highest maternal mortality and morbidity rates in the nation. Families are left without the postpartum care, lactation support, and healing resources they deserve.
Your major gift invests directly in solutions:
- Building Wilmington’s first Maternal Care Center
- Training and certifying Black doulas through our Sankofa Program
- Expanding postpartum justice services including lactation, pelvic care, and mental health support
- Supporting families through Relief Funds and Healing Spaces
Together, we can end disparities and create a system that values every Black mother and child.
