Our mission is to honor the legacy of Black motherhood while addressing systemic disparities and uplifting our community. Each episode is a 60-minute journey into advocacy, education, and empowerment, with audio and video recordings available for an immersive experience.

Meet the Host

Elizabeth Mayaki, professionally known as MC Mckinzie, is a dynamic and accomplished individual with a diverse background. Originally from Nigeria, she completed high school at the age of 16 and later relocated to North Carolina, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Elementary Education from Winston-Salem State University.

Elizabeth has built a distinguished 17-year career in the banking industry, holding various leadership roles and demonstrating exceptional expertise and commitment. In addition to her professional achievements, she is a proud mother to her 5-year-old daughter.

Beyond her corporate career, Elizabeth thrives as a Mistress of Ceremonies and red-carpet host, where she brings her charisma, energy, and professionalism to every event. She is equally passionate about youth empowerment and is dedicated to giving back to her community through active volunteering with nonprofit organizations.

Recently, Elizabeth had the honor of partnering with Black Mothers in Power (BMIP) to host the Sankofa Doula Graduations, celebrating the dedication of women who have completed rigorous professional training to become certified doulas. Continuing her impactful journey, she is equally honored to serve as the host of BMIP’s podcast, The Birth Seat.
